If you manage tech infrastructure for more than two clients, you already know the exact flavor of anxiety I’m talking about.
It starts innocently enough. You pick up a client, get access to their organization, and everything is smooth. Then you add a second client. Then a third. Suddenly, you aren’t just a developer or a consultant anymore—you’re an air traffic controller.
I hit a point where I was completely trapped in “tab hell.” I was aggressively switching between isolated browser profiles, juggling multiple MFA prompts, and manually checking dashboards just to make sure nothing was burning down.
I knew there had to be a better way to monitor multiple client enviroments. When I couldn’t find a tool that was fast, clean, and centralized, I did what any developer does: I built it myself.
The Problem:
The High Cost of “Swivel-Chair” Management
When you’re responsible for multiple client setups, staying proactive is a nightmare. Most platforms assume you belong to one company and work in one ecosystem. They just arent built for the multi-tenant reality of a modern consultant or agency.
Managing them manually introduces a ton of friction:
The Visibility Gap: If an integration fails or a critical configuration changes in Client A’s org while you’re deep-diving into code for Client C, you wont know until the client calls you.
Context-Switching Fatigue: Logging out, logging in, handling authenticator apps, and reloading pages takes a massive cognitive toll. It wastes hours of actual billable time.
Mundane Maintenance: Spending your brightest hours checking system statuses, security configurations, and logs is a terrible use of engineering brainpower.
I didn’t get into this business to play digital security guard. I wanted to focus on what actually moves the needle for my clients.
Enter OrgBuddy
That brings me to my new project: OrgBuddy. I designed it to be the ultimate companion for developers, admins, and consultants who manage a portfolio of client environments.
Instead of jumping between disconnected dashboards, OrgBuddy connects your various client orgs into a single, unified interface.
The core philosophy behind the tool is simple: OrgBuddy does all the heavy lifting for me while I work on innovation and value.
By handling the constant background noise of health tracking, configuration monitoring, and environmental oversight, it frees up my schedule and cognitive load. Instead of wasting time on reactive fire-fighting and manual check-ups, I can pour that energy into writing better code, building custom features, and delivering actual strategic value to the businesses I serve.
Moving Fast and Keeping it Clean
Building OrgBuddy has been a great exercise in scratching my own itch. It’s built on the exact principles I talk about here on the blog: making technology work for you, automating the repetitive garbage, and keeping systems transparent.
It has completely transformed how I handle my workflow. I check one dashboard, see that everything is green across the board, and immediately jump into creative development work rather than administrative mangement.
